Genesis Institute

• Men’s addiction recovery. I am a nationally certified counselor using the genesis process (one of the most successful and intense programs available). During this 5 month program (2 hours per week), we go in depth to understand what addiction is and how we use coping mechanisms to avoid pain. From chocolate to drugs, we all use coping mechanisms. We then dig down to the cause of our addictions, which is normally some type of trauma we do not want to feel. Once identified, we work on strategies to examine, understand, and resolve these traumas. Finally, we give clients solid, proven and healthy tools to live a happier and productive life.

Anger Management 

• We all struggle with the emotion of anger. How we express and cope with this emotion is not taught in any schools but is essential for a happy life. After years of research, I developed and teach proven skills to eliminate maladaptive coping strategies (violence, yelling, internalizing etc.) and replace these with sound tools. I have been teaching anger management nationally and internationally for over 10 years.

Mental Health Care

• Finally, after a life changing experience, I chose to give up corporate life and give back to those struggling with addictions. This started me on a journey that has changed my life and those whom I have been blessed to work with.  I have volunteered, developed, facilitated and counseled thousands of individuals both in the US and abroad struggling with addictions. I became a licensed and certified addiction counselor, formed Choices Counseling and have not looked back.

  My mission is not to fix but, to walk alongside those struggling with addiction, provide guidance, skills, and support in a faith based practice. At Choices, our mission is to assist the whole person, not just the addiction. This involves many facets from pain management, relationships and communication to grief and trauma care.

  We focus not only on recovery but on providing clients with healthy skills to live more happy and productive lives.

Management Consulting

• I have been involved in management consulting for over 25 years. After graduate school (MBA in International Business and Organizational Development) I also became a network engineer, call center manager, and a Six Sigma Black Belt in statistical decision making. After 20 plus years in corporate management, I went back to school and got a PhD in Quality Control Engineering.  I have worked with some of the largest call centers in the world analyzing infrastructure and helping them streamline. My last corporate project was as Senior Quality Control Manager for Sykes International. During my time working with Sykes, my team lowered waste and errors by over 800% from over 45% errors to less than 5% within 9 months.

• Achieving Your Potential with Pacific Institute where I taught classes to corporate managers in personal development skills from 50 to 1500 people. This was the precursor to TONY ROBBINS who sells seminars worldwide. I taught these for over 8 years to fortune 500 companies.
